Kat

Head Trainer and Owner of BDT

Trainer Kat has been working professionally with an enormous variety of species ranging from invertebrates to small primates for two decades. It is no secret however that her true love has long been dogs and other canids.

Kat's extensive and ever increasing portfolio of qualifications include HND Animal Management and Welfare (triple distinction grade, level 4) and broad variety of specialist dog training and behaviour certifications.

These include but are not limited to those offered by Dr Ian Dunbar, Micheal Ellis, The Leerburg Academy, Ivan Balabanov (Training Without Conflict), Mark and Stephanie MaCabe (Training Between The Ears), Susan Garrett and Shield K9.

She has worked professionally with, shadowed and been mentored by a number of established trainers and continues to hone her skills with regular CPD courses and seminars.

She has enjoyed working extensively with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds ranging from toy breeds such as Chihuahuas and Pomeranians to Sighthounds like lurchers, HPR breeds, bull breeds, mollosors, terriers and working breeds such as Belgian Malinois, Cocker Spaniels and Labradors.

She has also worked with all manner of rescue dogs including Greek, Serbian, Romanian and Hungarian imports and has fully task and public access trained a Medical Alert Assistance Dog.

She is something of a Jack-Of-All-Trades but particularly enjoys problem solving reactive behaviours and off-lead reliability issues.

Kat's favourite breeds to work with include spaniels, collies and sighthounds.

Natalia

Specialist Trainer

Trainer Natalia initially started out by coming along to our Intensive Training Days to shadow Kat, gain additional hands-on experience to compliment her existing knowledge and increase her knowledge of the more owner-centric aspects of dog training.

She was so brilliant and versatile that Kat promptly gave her a job.

When she isn't out training dogs, Natalia is also studying Level 3 Extended Animal Management at Berkshire College of Agriculture and like Kat, continues to ensure she is up to date on modern training styles and constantly develop her professional skills and experience by studying through other training academies including STSK9, Ivan Balabanov and Shield K9.

Natalia is incredibly experienced, skillful in behaviour modification and especially enjoys working with the most intense dogs we see for training with her favourite breeds being Belgian Malinois and Tervuren shepherds. She also has a huge love for Australian Cattle Dogs and Swedish Vallhunds.

Natalia runs the bulk of our Leash and Learn Training Walks and is our trick training and sports-style obedience specialist.

There is nothing she cant turn her hand to and we are incredibly proud to have her on the team!
